The subdivision is considered as thin plate up to < 3mm and above it as heavy plate > 3mm up to 300 mm.

KF/Small size 1000*2000 mm
MF/Medium format 1250*2500 mm
GF/Large format 1500*3000 mm and
SF/Special format 2000*6000 or beyond
